Carolyn B. Maloney

Carolyn B. Maloney is a recognized US leader with extensive accomplishments on financial services, national security, economy and women’s issues. Serving in the US House of Representatives for three decades (1993–2023), she made history as the first woman to chair the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

But what truly sets Maloney apart is her unwavering support for Hellenic causes. As the co-founder and co-chair of the Congressional Hellenic Caucus, she became one of the most powerful voices in Washington advocating for Greece and Cyprus. She has fought tirelessly for the reunification of the Parthenon Marbles, standing at the forefront of the movement to bring them home. In 2021, she introduced a historic resolution in Congress, urging the British Museum to return these masterpieces to Athens, recognizing their undeniable cultural and historical significance.

Recognizing her extraordinary dedication to this cause, the Youth Committee for the Reunification of the Parthenon Marbles – Remarble Greece proudly named Carolyn B. Maloney an Honorary Member, solidifying her role as an international ally in the fight for cultural justice.

A true Philhellene, Maloney has dedicated her career to strengthening US – Greece relations and ensuring that justice prevails – not just in politics, but in history itself. Her legacy is one of resilience, passion, and an unbreakable commitment to righting historical wrongs.
